How do we get started?
Before we get too excited about all of the possibilities involving our geothermal waters, we must first pull together to fund a geothermal study.
A study of this magnitude will cost $36,000. Together, we can contribute what each of us can, at our own level, reducing it to a more manageable amount, especially in light of the fact that the Governor's Energy Office is willing to consider co-funding such a work plan.
Our initial meeting on March 29, 2011 brought in donations of over $2,000, with the town, county and CDC considering combined donations of $30,000. If you are interested in donating, please make your check payable to Geothermal Greenhouse Partnership (a 501c3 corporation). Checks can be mailed to P.O. Box 3417, Pagosa Springs, CO 81147 or dropped off at Pagosa Baking Company at 238 Pagosa Street.
